County councilwoman helping to spearhead one of the distributions
McBeth Baptist Church is partnering with Save the Children and County Councilwoman Carolyn Rutherford to host a free food distribution at the church today at 9 a.m. It will be a drive-through event, where volunteers will put a food box in your car when you drive up to the church at 105 Lawson Avenue. Volunteers are needed to help with this distribution.
This Saturday, ReGenesis Health Care is partnering with Molina Healthcare for a frozen turkey giveaway. The drive-through event for those in need will be held at ReGenesis Health Care at 115 Thomas Street in Union, starting Saturday at noon and continuing while supplies last. They are giving away a frozen turkey and a bag of fixings. Giveaways will also be taking place Saturday at noon at Carver Middle School in Spartanburg and ReGenesis Health Care in Gaffney.
