Recycling centers to only close one day for the holiday
With Christmas Eve falling on Saturday and Christmas Day on Sunday this year, the Union County Department of Public Works has announced that the holiday schedule for the Union County recycling centers will be a little different this year. All county recycling centers will be closed on Saturday, December 24, in observance of the Christmas holiday. They will be back open on normal schedule the following Monday. Normally, the recycling centers close for two days in observance of Christmas, but with Christmas Day on a Sunday this year, the centers are already closed that day. The recycling centers will not close in observance of the new year, as New Year’s Day also falls on a Sunday.
