Heartwarming reunion was student's Christmas wish
Jakeria Kennedy, a fifth grader at Buffalo Elementary School, received an early Christmas surprise last Monday. Teachers, staff, and students watched with tear-filled eyes as her cousin, Mialah Whitmire, returned from basic training that took place in Missouri. Kennedy had one wish this year and that was to hug the neck of PV2 Army National Guard Whitmire. The administrators at Buffalo Elementary School said it was a joy to have a small part in Kennedy getting her wish.
