Incident occurred in September at Union Inn
A Spartanburg woman was arrested on Thursday and charged with damaging a vehicle at a local hotel back in September. The incident occurred on the evening of September 27 at the Union Inn on Toshes Creek Circle. A man reported that the mother of his children, identified as 23-year-old Kaliana Tucora Johnson, had damaged his brother’s vehicle.
PFC Cody Hill responded and found the front windshield had been broken, and he saw a large rock sitting on the hood of the vehicle. There was also damage to the front fender on the passenger side as well as to the front of the vehicle. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4000. The man said he had been arguing with Johnson all day over personal issues, and she came to the hotel and vandalized his brother’s vehicle while he was across the street getting something to eat.
PFC Hill attempted to contact Johnson numerous times while on scene, but she only picked up one time, and once he identified himself, she hung up. Later, she called the man and admitted to damaging the vehicle. Johnson was arrested on Thursday at the Spartanburg County Detention Center and transported to Union. She is charged with malicious damage.
