UCHS Drama Department Prepares for "A Christmas Carol"

Daniel Prince

Play will be directed by James Burns, the new UCHS drama teacher

The Union County High School Drama Department is preparing to present its Christmas play this weekend. This is the first production since longtime drama teacher Ralph Lawson retired. James Burns is the new drama teacher at the high school, and his students will present Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”, adapted by Doris Baizley. The show is presented through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service Incorporated. The shows will be this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and children. They are available in advance at the high school lobby, and tickets will be sold at the door, as well. Burns and his drama students hope you will attend and continue to support the fine arts programs of Union County High School.
